FARO Expands Operations to Mexico

LAKE MARY, Fla., May 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- FARO Technologies, Inc., (Nasdaq: FARO) the world leader in portable computer-aided measurement hardware and software, announced the expansion of its operations to Mexico.

"Mexico represents a significant growth opportunity for us," FARO Senior VP and Managing Director for the Americas David Morse said. "We've been selling in Mexico through a distributor for the last 10 years and have a sizable customer base to build upon."

"I have been very open about my desire to expand our business geographically," FARO President and CEO Jay Freeland said. "Mexico represents an important market for us - both strategically and operationally - due to the limited penetration in their growing manufacturing environment."

FARO will use the same sales model in Mexico that it has found so successful in the U.S. and Canada, with FARO Account Managers working from key locations, including Monterrey and Mexico City, while leveraging a highly skilled Inside Sales Support Team at the Company's headquarters in Florida.

"I am very excited about our expansion into Mexico, and even more excited about our FARO Team that we have leading the charge," Morse said. "We are fortunate to have a team in Mexico with a wealth of knowledge on FARO products as well as an in-depth understanding of the customers' needs in the region."
