FARO Releases CAM2(TM) Software in China

LAKE MARY, Fla., Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- FARO Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: FARO) announces the release of its CAM2(TM) Measure and SPC Graph Software packages in Simplified Chinese. Designed as user-friendly, yet powerful dimensional measurement packages, the language-specific versions will allow users in China to communicate business-critical information to management, clients and suppliers in their native language.

CAM2(TM) Measure is a CAD-based measurement and analysis software program developed for use with articulating portable measurement arms, CMMs and other 3D measurement instruments. Developed on the ACIS(R) platform, CAM2(TM) Measure can be used for simple go/no-go measurements or CAD-to-part comparison, where any measured part can be compared to engineering CAD models. CAM2(TM) Measure features a 100% Windows(R)-compliant interface with tabbed windows, drop-down boxes and user-friendly toolbars and menus.

Users have turned to CAM2 SPC Graph to help control their manufacturing processes and graphically report measured data. With CAM2 SPC Graph, statistical process control (SPC) data such as average, run and range charts, as well as CP and CPK values are readily available. Visual reports combine a graphical image of the measured features and displays the nominal, actual and other specified information in a data box. The data box is anchored to the part image with a leader arrow.

Computer-Aided Manufacturing Measurement (CAM2) is the engineering, measuring and controlling of dimensional quality by anyone in production using design data.
